YOUR BUSINESS JOURNEY INTO BRANDING

A great brand comes with a great understanding of who you are and what your expectations are. I don’t believe in a systematic approach because all brands are unique and require bespoke services. There are, however, a few main lines that we will always go through.

1. GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BRAND

This is what I call the Discover Phase. Each project starts with a conversation to get to know you and your brand. This can be done in person or via Skype. I prefer to keep phone conversations for later as I believe it is important to meet in person in order to start well.

We will discuss your needs such as deliverables and objectives, who your target audience is, your budget and your timelines. It’s also great to know who your direct competitors are.

I will leave you with a few questions to answer that will help me to get a deeper understanding of your needs. And if you don’t have answers, that’s ok, we’ll work it out together.

2. PROJECT MAPPING

Once we have all the answers we need, we will work out a timeline of your project, making sure you get everything you need in time.

My research phase always begin by creating a moodboard, even if you have a clear idea. They are a great way to express a brand, both visually and emotionally and allow concepts to take shape.

3. CONCEPT PHASE

Now is the time to work on initial concepts. I usually work by hand during that phase, sketching and painting. This is when logos are conceived and colour palettes and layouts are put together. When one direction is agreed, we can move on to the final product.

4. BRAND PRESENTATION

Now is the time to complete the visual identity, develop concepts on various sizes and supports. I will either send you a pdf or meet you again in person. We will talk about the next steps, final adjustments and collaterals needed. I want you to be entirely satisfied with your brand!

5. DELIVERY

All work is complete! You will receive all the assets needed, templates and other files created during the process. Now is your time to start using your brand, good luck!

3 REASONS TO WORK WITH ME

It’s reassuring to know that you are working with someone who’s got many years of experience. But when it comes to creative work, I believe that there are other things which are just as important. I do have many years of experiences though ;-)

1. WE CONNECT

I only work with people who share similar values to me. I believe in sustainable design, that is made to last and that respects the environment. I also think that we will never have enough brands that make us feels good and improve the way we live. I love to work with people who want to build their own thing and believe in the power of working together, not against each other. So if that’s the way you think, we’re a match.

Research should be messy. The only reason you can't find your glasses is because you put them in the pocket of your jeans that are now in the laundry basket. That, or they're just on top of your nose.

2. YOU WANT A PERSONAL APPROACH TO YOUR BUSINESS

If mainstream and computer processed designs aren’t your thing, you’ve come to the right place. Computers are an inevitable step of the process, but it doesn’t need to restrict our creativity. Using paints, stamps, paper cut and any other crafting technique is the way I express myself and my work. So my brand work always carries some roughness that makes it unique to my eyes. It doesn’t have to look perfect to be perfect. It just needs to fit right.

There is no middle man here, or woman. The only person you will be working with is me.

Personal projects are the ones that I will always carry with me. The bond with creativity can lead to incredible results. Above is an example of sun prints made using paper cuts on cyanotype, a paper that reacts to sunlight.

3. YOU DON'T NEED BRANDING

Ok, that might sound weird, but even if you have an existing brand that you’re happy with, you might need some quality work to be done. Brochures, posters, templates, anything printed basically, I can still be the right person for the job. So don’t hesitate to ask me. I’ll be happy to help.
